The project for the Deficient OTM Complex and office of ADG for the Indian Coast Guard at Coast Guard Enclave, Malkapuram, Visakhapatnam, received a prestigious professional award for its excellence in construction and sustainability: 

Celebration of 169th Annual Day of CPWD on July 12, 2023- Certificates of Merit for the Best Projects in CPWD.

As a part of 169th Annual Day celebrations of CPWD, it was decided that the Director General, CPWD Medals and Certificates of Merit shall be given on July 12, 2023 in New Delhi to the Best Projects.

On the basis of the nominations received, following Best Projects, under various categories, have been selected for Certificate of Merit.

In 2021, the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Visakhapatnam, was honored with the prestigious Indian Buildings Congress (IBC) Trophy for Excellence in the Built Environment. This accolade was awarded in recognition of the outstanding execution of the Deficient OTM Complex and the Office of the Additional Director General (ADG) for the Indian Coast Guard, located at the Coast Guard Enclave in Malkapuram, Visakhapatnam.

The project was lauded for its architectural merit, structural integrity, and commitment to sustainable construction practices within a critical defense infrastructure framework. By delivering state-of-the-art administrative and residential facilities for the Indian Coast Guard, CPWD Visakhapatnam demonstrated technical mastery and excellence in modern urban engineering.

The Ekalavya Model Residential School (EMRS) project in Chintapalli, Visakhapatnam, has been professionally recognized for its construction excellence by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD).
